The marketing desk is the whole job, done for you. We set up and then run your website, Google Business Profile, review requests, call tracking and search ads as one connected routine, and once a month you get a one-page summary of what came in. It is built for trades and service businesses working around Burquitlam and Lougheed whose owners would rather spend their evenings on anything but marketing.
What it is
Think of it as a marketing department you rent by the month. Instead of one freelancer for the website, another for ads and a relative who posts on Facebook, one team runs every channel to the same plan.
The difference shows up in the small things. When you add a service, the website page, the profile category, the ad keywords and the review request wording all change in the same week. When a building on Clarke Road starts its move-ins, the posts, ads and photos all point the same way. Nothing contradicts anything else, because one person is watching all of it.
Who it is for
The desk suits an owner-operator or a small crew of two to fifteen people. Typical clients include in-suite electricians and plumbers, painters, flooring installers, cleaners, movers, locksmiths, handypeople and small renovation firms.
It is especially useful in three situations:
- A new company that needs everything built in the right order rather than piece by piece.
- An established company with scattered marketing, where logins, listings and old websites are spread across years of different helpers.
- A busy owner who has stopped doing marketing, and noticed the phone getting quieter a season later.
It is not for you if you enjoy running your own ads, or if you only want advice. The services overview lists narrower options.
What is included
The desk combines every service we offer into one routine. In a normal month that means:
- Website upkeep: new or updated pages from real jobs, hosting and speed checks, contact details checked.
- Profile care: weekly Google Business Profile posts, photo uploads, hours and service updates, answers to questions.
- Job proof: your crew's texted photos turned into project pages, as described on job proof publishing.
- Reviews: scheduled requests and follow-ups, as on reviews and repeat-work follow-up.
- Tracking: tracked numbers and quote follow-up, as on lead tracking and quote follow-up.
- Ads: search campaigns held under your ceiling, as on profile and ads upkeep.
- The monthly sheet: calls, texts, quotes, wins, cost per job and next month's plan, on one page.
Which plan level covers how much of this is set out on the pricing page and confirmed in your written proposal.
Timeline
The first month is setup; the routine starts in month two. A typical rollout looks like this:
| Week | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1 | Access gathered, accounts moved into your name, tracking numbers ordered |
| 2 | Google profile cleaned up, first review requests sent, ads built under a low ceiling |
| 3–4 | Website pages rewritten or built, first job proof published |
| 5–8 | Weekly routine running; ad ceiling adjusted to what the calendar can absorb |
| 9–12 | First quarter review: what to keep, cut or expand |
Profile and ad changes can move calls within weeks. Website pages and reviews compound more slowly, usually over three to six months.
How results are measured
We measure jobs, not clicks. The monthly sheet tracks:
- tracked calls and texts by source
- quotes sent, and quotes won
- cost per won job for paid channels
- new reviews and the current total
- pages and posts published
If a channel produces calls but no won jobs, we cut it or change it. If you would like to see how we think about this arithmetic, the guide on how many hours marketing really takes shows the owner's side of the sum.
Mistakes to avoid when outsourcing everything
Outsourcing the whole job goes wrong in predictable ways. Watch for these, with us or anyone else.
- Accounts in the agency's name. If you cannot log in to your own domain or profile, you do not own your marketing. Our handover checklist lists what should be yours.
- No ad ceiling. Spend should be capped at a number you chose.
- Reports full of impressions. You cannot pay a crew with impressions. Ask for calls and won jobs.
- Silence from the owner's side. Done-for-you still needs a monthly fifteen minutes from you, or the plan drifts away from your calendar.
We are a marketing service, not a contractor. We will never quote, schedule or perform trade work; the jobs, the customers and the relationships stay entirely yours.
Frequently asked questions
How is the desk different from hiring a marketing employee?
An employee costs a salary, needs managing and leaves with the know-how. The desk gives you a senior strategist and a routine without payroll, and the setup and accounts stay yours if you stop.
What is the minimum commitment?
None beyond a month. Stopping the desk takes 30 days' notice. Annual billing lowers the monthly price if you want to commit for longer.
Will I have to approve everything?
You approve the plan, the ad ceiling and anything that speaks for your business in a new way, such as prices or promises you offer customers. Routine posts and page updates go out without waiting on you.
Do you work on site or meet in person?
Consultations can be in person or by video call, as well as by phone, text and email, so your check-in fits between jobs.
