The questions below are the ones trades owners ask most before handing their marketing to us. If yours is not here, call, text or email; it probably should be. Each answer is short in the list above, and the sections below add the detail that usually matters most.
Frequently asked questions
How much does done-for-you marketing cost?
Plans follow Trades.Agency pricing: Growth from $1,999 a month month-to-month or $1,499 a month billed annually, Elite from $3,999 or $2,999, and Enterprise from $7,999 or $5,999. Prices are in Canadian dollars plus 5% GST, and ad spend is separate.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. Plans renew monthly, and 30 days' notice ends yours whenever you choose. Annual billing is optional and lowers the monthly price.
How long before I see more calls?
Profile and ad changes often show in calls within a few weeks. Website pages, project pages and reviews compound over three to six months. We do not promise a number of leads by a date.
We tried an agency before and it went nowhere. Why would this be different?
Usually the earlier problem was one of three things: nobody tracked won jobs, the accounts were not yours, or the work stopped after setup. We track calls to jobs, keep accounts in your name and run the work weekly. If that still does not pay, you can leave on 30 days' notice.
Who owns my website, profile and ad accounts?
You should, and we set them up that way: domain, Google Business Profile and ad accounts in your name. Any exception, such as hosting arrangements, is written into your proposal.
What do you need from me each month?
A short check-in, quick answers when we have a question about a service or price, and job photos texted by your crew. Most owners spend under an hour a month.
What reports will I get?
One page a month: calls and texts by source, quotes sent and won, cost per won job for paid channels, new reviews and what we published. We explain anything unclear on the check-in.
Are you a contractor?
No. Burquitlam.Company is a marketing and business consulting service. We never install, repair, renovate, clean or service anything, and we do not take jobs from residents or strata councils.
Do you work with brand-new companies?
Yes. A new company is often the easiest to set up properly, because there is nothing to untangle. We build the profile, site, tracking and review routine in the right order.
Will you work with my competitor down the road?
Ask us on the first call. Whether any exclusivity applies to your trade and area is a business term, so it is confirmed in writing in your proposal rather than promised here.
Can you market in languages other than English?
Yes. We can add translated pages, profile posts and review templates, checked by fluent speakers. Many households in Coquitlam speak Mandarin, Korean, Cantonese or Persian at home.
Do you meet in person?
Yes. Burquitlam owners can meet us in person or by video call, and phone, text and email keep check-ins easy to fit between jobs.
Price and commitment
The short answer: from $1,999 a month on month-to-month terms, or $1,499 a month billed annually, plus GST and your own ad spend. You can cancel with 30 days' notice.
The longer answer is whether it pays. Work out what one extra job is worth to you in margin, then how many extra jobs a month the plan needs to break even. Our pricing page walks through the sum with real-looking numbers. If the answer is "more jobs than my crew can take", start smaller.
Timeline and expectations
Expect visible changes within weeks and meaningful results over a few months. The order is fairly predictable:
- Weeks 1–2: accounts sorted, profile cleaned up, tracking live.
- Weeks 3–6: ads running under a low ceiling, first review requests and project pages out.
- Months 2–6: reviews and pages build; ads adjust to what produces won jobs.
We will not promise rankings or a set number of leads. Search results and customer choices are not ours to control. What we promise is the routine and the honest report.
If you have been burned before
Most bad agency experiences come down to missing measurement, missing ownership or missing follow-through. Ask any agency, including us, three questions:
- Will my accounts be in my name?
- Will you report won jobs, not just clicks?
- What exactly happens every week after setup?
Our answers are yes, yes, and the list on the marketing desk page. If you are leaving another agency, our handover checklist shows what to collect before you go.
Ownership and access
You own your marketing assets. That means your domain registered to you, your Google Business Profile with you as primary owner, and ad accounts billed to your card. We work with manager access. If you ever leave, removing our access takes minutes, and nothing breaks.
Working with tower and strata customers
Much of the work around Burquitlam and Lougheed happens in strata buildings. That changes marketing in small but real ways, from photos that must not show residents' details to strata councils and property managers who hire differently from homeowners. Our guide on marketing in-suite tower work covers this in depth. As always, we only market the work; we never do it.
Reporting and what you see each month
You get one page a month, and it is written to be read in five minutes. It shows calls and texts by source, quotes sent and won, cost per won job for anything paid, new reviews and the pages and posts we published. A short note at the bottom says what we plan to change next month and why.
If a number looks wrong to you, say so. You know your jobs better than any tracking tool, and the check-in exists so we can line up what the report shows with what your calendar actually held.
Languages and local customers
Coquitlam is a multilingual city, and many households near Burquitlam and Lougheed are more comfortable reading in a language other than English. We can add translated service pages, profile posts and review-request templates, with every translation checked by a fluent speaker before it goes live. This is optional and quoted in your proposal, because the work depends on how many pages and languages you need.
Still deciding?
The about page explains who runs the service, and the results page shows results from our HVAC work with links to the live sites. When you are ready, the contact page explains what to send so the first call is useful.
